In January six people were victimized and there were three clashes between criminal groups. One victim was a police officer of the municipality of Rosales who was in Meoqui. That month there were also two shootings. On January 5 occurred a clash that left cars and houses shot. On 30 January, in the nearby town of Lazaro Cardenas, at the end of Mass in the church, the inhabitants were moments of terror during a shootout that left no victims.
