Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens: Guadalajara (Mexico), Heightened Security Alert Status in Jalisco

The State of Jalisco has declared a heightened security alert status following Mexican military/police operations near the Providencia and Valle Real communities in Guadalajara. The Consulate recommends that all American citizens take precautions and be vigilant to news reports regarding events in the state of Jalisco until the situation returns to normal.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN
Two men’s bodies were dumped into the street from taxis, both had been decapitated, with the heads in a separate bag. The gunmen in the taxis continued after dumping the bodies. Some reports said the bodies were dismembered inside the blankets. Police are investigating the license plates of the two taxis.
APODACA, NUEVO LEÓN
One of the principal Zeta leaders for the town of Anhuac was killed outside the prison in Apodaca. The killers tried to simulate suicide by hanging him from the sprinklers with a belt. Juan Antonio Torres Hernández, alias El Chaparro, was arrested by state investigators on June 26th.
MICHOACAN
A rapist was found hanging from a road sign, with a sign on his chest, held in place with two ice picks. His arms were tied behind his back, and his penis had been severed and put into his mouth.
CIUDAD VICTORIA, TAMAULIPAS
A narco grave was discovered on a ranch near the township of Xicoténcatl. The decaying bodies were five males and a woman. Authorities said it was not possible to determine injuries or how they died.
MEXICO
The PGR (attorney general) says in a statement made by the Mexican Marine Captain that there were three US CIA agents in the vehicle with him when it was attacked. He continued the attack was directed at them, and specifically where the vehicle armor was the weakest, the roof. The Marines and federal police say there were only two agents, but the PGR and the Marine captain’s testimony reveal otherwise. The newspaper 24 Horas reported the agents had entered Mexico from Afghanistan, using documents with false names. The newspaper obtained information they were retired CIA Agents, rehired to perform specific tasks in different countries, including Mexico.
