CHIHUAHUA, CHIHUAHUA,
Four persons were shot outside a business named ‘Super Gonzalez’, leaving two of them dead. Two women passersby were also wounded.

LOS POCHOTES, NAVOLATO, SINALOA
An elite state police unit chased down a stolen van which fled a narco camp when they were spotted by the police chopper. The initial report of armed men from a resident sparked the response by the authorities. Four men were arrested, and weapons, ammo, as well as grenades, were seized. A further search of the camp located another stolen vehicle, weapons, ski masks, tactical vests and other things.




SINALOA
A 23 year old university instructor was found, tortured and executed, in his vehicle on Thursday. He had been missing since Wednesday morning.

TOCUS, GUANAJUATO**
On Thursday, gunmen in 5 trucks ambushed security forces, leaving two agents dead. Agents Ramón Martínez Rivas and Jorge Rodríguez Tejera were killed, and another was wounded. The trucks used were located near Uripitiro in Michoacán. Military forces were brought in to help search for the killers.

XALAPA, VERACRUZ
Another journalist, Víctor Manuel Báez Chino, was kidnapped Wednesday night and his body found the following day. A message was left with the body from Los Zetas. He is the fifth journalist to be killed in just over a month in the state of Veracruz. Since 2000, 81 journalists have been murdered and 16 are missing. A few days ago, a reporter for the police section of the newspaper El Zocalo in the northern state of Coahuila disappeared with her child and is feared to have been kidnapped.

TORREON, COAHUILA
Gunmen opened fire on a taxi driver with an AK-47, killing him, but also wounding a 24 year old mother and her 4 month old baby girl.
SAN PEDRO, NUEVO LEÓN
State police have detained two municipal police officers for working with the Sinaloa cartel. While investigating the auto thefts, and arresting one thief, statements made by the officers implicated them as working the cartel.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN
Gregorio Villanueva Salas, operator of the Zetas in Matamoros and known as the Czar of Piracy was arrested with 3 others on June 11th. The authorities seized four rifles and a pistol, cartridges, six vehicles, two motorcycles and 291 thousand dollars, in addition of communication and computing equipment. He produced 58 million pirated disks annually, with proceeds delivered personally to Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano.

GUERRERO
Authorities have captured 5 assassins of the criminal group known as La Barredora or Commando del Diablo, and responsible for the killing of Alicia Díaz González, a regional prosecutor for the Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (State Attorney General) .


ZACATECAS
On Saturday June 16, at least 5 narco blockades closed off main accesses to the city. Gunmen then took vehicles stopped. The subsequent chase by federal police of the gunmen left 2 bad guys killed.

REYNOSA, TAMAULIPAS
Federal Police arrested a man which led to him revealing that he was responsible for 62 people being held in a house. The group of 62, all Central Americans and including 9 children, were mostly from El Salvador and Guatemala.
CHIHUAHUA, CHIHUAHUA
On Friday, a home of a teacher was sprayed with over 150 shots, and shortly after 3 men were found tortured and executed. Later another person was found slain.

SINALOA
A young singer, Jose de Jesus Quintero Salas, known as El Travieso Quintero, was executed on Friday. He was 25 years old. He was chased down the street by 2 gunmen, to the home of a relative. He was cornered in the yard, and shot in the head.
