GUADALJARA, JALISCO
At least 4 narco blockades and shootouts happened on Saturday afternoon in different parts of metropolitan Guadalajara. As of 5pm, there were no reports of injuries or deaths. (Note: not reliable, as the bad guys often take their dead/wounded with them when they escape.) A later report from the state police, reported 7 blockades in the Guadalajara area, and 15 others statewide. Cars, trucks, taxis, buses, vans and trailers were burned to block roadways. Later reports said blockades again happened Sunday morning, and included other states including Colima. Late Sunday, a report confirmed one man was killed in a suburb of Guadalajara.

PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO
At least 7 vehicles were torched by narco blockades here on Saturday afternoon. These included cars, SUV’s and trucks.

TAXCO, GUERRERO
On Saturday at about 5:30 pm, municipal police responded to a report of armed men in this tourist destination. On arrival, they were met with gunfire and a shootout ensued which lasted several minutes. Citizens and visitors alike panicked and locked themselves inside. One of the three bad guys was arrested.
MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN
A band of 4 Zetas have been arrested by agents of the state investigative police. They are implicated in 14 kidnappings and 5 executions. Seized from their vehicles were 2 long guns, 2 handguns, ammo. magazines and radio equipment.

COPALA, GUERRERO
Two men were found dismembered, one in a sport field along with a narco message on a blanket. It basically said that this would happen to ALL kidnappers, rapists, extortionist and ‘sick’ in general …those who commit these offenses will be executed. It continued that they want all people to be at peace, and if there were complaints to call a given number which was part of the message. It was signed by Beltrán Leyva, amigos “z” and the specialists.

GUANAJUATO
The state attorney general presented 2 men accused of torching gas stations on August 10, as well as putting up narco messages from the Knights Templar. At the time of arrest, two assault rifles, ammo. magazines and a gun were seized.

NOGALES, SONORA
Saturday night, two men were found shot to death inside a car, the motor running and parked on the sidewalk.
